I agree generally with the preceding minutes.
Clearly, we want as broad a base as possible for
the statistics. Further, there are so many snags
in a matter of this kind--snags the importance

of which can only be appreciated adequately
in the light of local knowledge-- that I should
much prefer if the examination suggested could
be made locally.

have taken the opportunity of working out figures
for the three months July to September, and have
recast the Memorandum in a form more suitable for
circulation to the Currency Committee. I should only
like to add
