(6) I notice that the Report of the Chamber states

that the present emoluments of senior Officers including senior Cadets are considered adequate with a few exceptions which might be considered specially. If the Government were prepared to act upon this suggestion it would be necessary

for them to request the members of the Committee to state which of the senior Officers should be specially considered. The Report does not indicate for example whether the Secretary for Chinese Affairs, the Treasurer, or the Colonial Secretary are those selected for special consideration.
