With reference to our letter No. A/474 of
the 21st November 1929 regarding the securities deposited
with us on account of the Note issue of the Hong Kong
and Shanghai Banking Corporation in Hong Kong and the
Straits Settlements, I have the honour to report for the
information of the Secretary of State that we have effected
the following exchanges in securities on the dates named:-
5th September.

£100,000 4% Funding Loan Bonds 1960/90 released in exchange for £120,000 31% Conversion Loan Bonds 1961 or after.
8th September. £157,850 4% War Loan Bonds 1929/42
released in exchange for £210,000
31% Conversion Loan Bonds 1961 or
