Commander KENWORTHY: I am sorry the Noble Lady is leaving the Committee, because I am going to say that I am surprised she did not take the opportunity of criticising the Conserva- tive administration for not taking more drastic steps to deal with the scandal of Mui-Tsai in Hong Kong, of the female slaves in our ancient Crown colony in Hong Kong.
Viscountess ASTOR: I may say that I have never let them alone for a moment. The hon, and gallant Member ought not to take this monent to suggest that I am going back on a matter of such vital interest. The Government are doing all they can.
Lieut. Commander KENWORTHY: Well, I want them to do a great deal more than that. I shall not go into the question of Mui-Tsai in Hong Kong, but
