With reference to the question of the cross
harbour water pipe line dealt with in my despatch Confidential dated 25th January, 1929, I have the honour to forward for the information of the Consulting Engineers a copy of a report on the geological formation of the harbour bed kindly supplied by Dr. R. W. Brock, Dean of the Faculty of Science, University of British Columbia, under whose direction the survey referred to in Mr. Winston Churchill's despatch No.2 dated 3rd January, 1922, was
carried out.
