15. From the time when such materials or things as set forth in the Specification shall have been tested, inspected at the maker's works and accepted by the Crown Agents or their representative the Contractors shall insure the same against damage by fire, explosion and all insurable risks of every kind (including marine risks), and shall keep the same so insured until the Works have been taken over by the Government.

The Contractors shall insure the materials to the full value thereof, including the cost of freight. Undamageable material shall be insured f.p.a. and other material against all risks, including breakage, damage and leakage.

The Contractors must also insure and will be held responsible for all damage to materials, plant and machinery (if any) provided by the Government after delivery to the Contractors at the site caused through fire, accidents from explosions, and all insurable risks, until the works have been taken over by the Government.

All insurances shall be made in the name of the Crown Agents for the Colonies and the policies shall be deposited with them.

Upon the happening of any loss by reason of any of the risks insured against, the Contractors shall forthwith repair or replace the materials or things damaged or lost, and all moneys payable by the persons, company or companies insuring the same shall be paid to the Crown Agents and shall be paid by the Crown Agents to the Contractors in such amounts as they may consider fair and reasorable in view of the progress made by the Contractors in repairing or replacing the same.

The insurance shall be effected with such Company or Companies as may be previously approved by the Crown Agents, or at Lloyds.

16. The Contractors shall pay all passage money for their principals and staff to and from the Colony, also freight, insurance, etc., for all Contractors' materials, tools and plant which they may find it requisite to send out for the purpose of carrying out the work.

17. The Contractors will be given possession of the site of the Works, but any land required for storage of plant and materials or for any temporary purposes must be provided by the Contractors at their own expense.

18. The Contractors shall not sell or otherwise dispose of or remove, except in accordance with the terms of this Contract, the sand, stone, clay, ballast, earth, rock or other substances or materials which may be obtained from any excavation made for the purpose of this Contract or any buildings upon the site at the time of the delivery of the possession of the land but all such substances, materials, buildings and produce shall be the property of the Government; provided that the Contractors may, with the permission in writing of the Director, use any of the same for the purposes of the Works.

19. All Gold, Silver, and other Minerals of any description and all precious stones, coins, treasure, relics, antiquities and other similar things which shall be found in or upon the site shall be the property of the Government, and the the property of the Contractors shall duly preserve the same to the satisfaction of the Engineer, and

shall from time to time deliver the same to such person or persons as the Government may from time to time appoint to receive the same.

20. The Contractors shall, on their own responsibility, set out the whole of the works to the sizes and levels shown on the drawings, and shall find all labour. stakes, instruments and other things necessary for the use of the Engineer for checking such setting out or levels.

21. The Contractors will be held responsible for the preservation of bench marks, centre and other stakes used in marking out the Works and must take the greatest care not to remove any of the stakes without first taking the precaution
