I have the honour to inform you that sais
Government does not see its way to change the title
of Superintendent of the Chinese Telegraph Office at
The Canton Branch Political Conneil on
Hongkong.
the 9th April appointed Mr. Kong gia-lui to this post
and requested you to notify the Hongkong Government
of his appointment. Mr. Kong having now received his
credentials proposes to assume his appointment in the
course of the next few days but no reply has so far
bean received from you. I have therefore to request
that I may be favoured with a reply as soon as possible,
