OOL. OFFICE

GOVERNMENT HOUSE,

18th January, 1928.

reference to paragraph 2 of Mr. Ormsby

Gore's despatch No.357 of 18th November, 1927, concerning the

Public Works Loan Ordinance, 1927, I have the honour to

inform you that my despatch of 23rd September, 1927, was, in

accordance with Colonial Regulation 174, made confidential

as it contained a reference to your confidential telegram of

28th April, 1927.

2.

As it is obvious that the transaction reported

in the despatch should be on record in the series of numbered

despatches, the reference has now been expunged and the despatch has been removed from the confidential series and numbered 399A.

3. Mr. Southorn's despatch on the same subject

(confidential despatch of 14th November, 1927) has been likewise removed and numbered 491A.

4.

I would request that the necessary alteration may be made in the original despatch and that it and Mr. Southorn's despatch may be removed from the confidential to

the open series.

I have the honour to be,

Sir,

Your most obedient humble servant,

THE RIGHT HONOURABLE

LIEUTENANT COLONEL L.C.I.S. AMERY, P., Governor, &c.
