Sir,
With reference to your letter 30182/27 dated the 4th ultimo, I am commanded by the Air Council to state, for the information of Mr. Secretary Amery, that they have forwarded a copy of your letter and enclosures to the Officer Commanding, Royal Air Force Units in China, for his information in the event of the necessity arising for the employment of local civilian labour with the Royal Air Force in Hong Kong.
The Air Council fully realise the desirability of co-ordination between employing departments and the importance of keeping in close touch with the Colonial Government in regard to all labour questions in Hong Kong and anticipate that their representatives in the Colony will co-operate fully with the Governor in such matters. They presume that a copy of the further despatch referred to in the second paragraph of Mr. Secretary Amery's reply to the Governor of Hong Kong dated the 4tr ultimo will be forwarded for information in due course, Hatuainedenih
