Sir,

I have the honour to enclose for your

information a copy of a letter with enclosures

from the Netherland Consul General at Hong Kong

on the subject of an alleged plot to murder His

Excellency the Governor General of Netherland

India and the Attorney General of the Netherland

Colonies.

2. The premises of the Loong Tong Company

referred to therein were searched without result.

3. A copy of the reply which I caused to

be sent to the Consul General is enclosed.

4.

His Majesty's Government is no doubt in possession of full information regarding the Com-

munist movement in the Netherland East Indies and Malaya, including the recent outbreak in the former, and appreciates the very grave degree to which the native populations of these territories have been and are still being infected by the doctrines of

Moscow.
