You will note from the accompanying telegram

that if the proposed work is to be entrusted to the

Netherlands Harbour Works Company it is necessary for

a contract to be arranged before the 15th April and

it is important therefore that the matter should be

dealt with promptly. I shall be glad to know if

you consider the Netherlands Harbour Works Company

is a suitable firm to undertake work of the nature

proposed.

4. Your advice is not required in connection

with the references in the Governor's telegram to

the Kaitak reclamation; the question of the dredging

should be considered on its own merits irrespective

of any use that may be made of the dredging materials.
