I think the attention of

mistake,
by which
balances with
the Crown Agents were represented
as being of £25,000 in excess of
the actual
amount.
Had I been suddenly
desired to furnish (3)

I had no time to
check the Crown
Agents returns, I might have, by trusting to their accuracy, very seriously misled His Excellency.
The mistake would
