The Committee
(1) Took note with approval of the Prime Minister's
summing up of their discussion.
(2) Approved OPD(67) 75 and invited the Commonwealth
Secretary to be guided by its conclusions and by their discussion during his forthcoming visit to Commonwealth countries in Africa and to Rhodesia.
(3) Invited the Foreign Secretary, in consultation
with the Commonwealth Secretary, to arrange for further examination of the policies which we might adopt in relation to Rhodesia should we be forced to accept that existing economic sanctions were unlikely to bring down the illegal regime.
