Meanwhile Your Lordship placed me in possession of Mr. Price's Report, which was submitted to Mr. Rawlinson. That eminent Engineer concurred generally in his Report, giving support to Price's views regarding the Pylam Project, but recommending an alternative scheme which would reduce the outlay to £136,400.

The ground was thus cleared of irritating unsed questions as to details of construction & design.
The best locality for the new "Worths" was determined. Mr. Price, ably supported by members of his Staff (Mr. Danby), executed his detailed survey of The Pylau Valley and the line of country which the conduit should follow to bring the water into the City, and the result of his investigations is clearly elaborated in the final Report which I have now the honour to lay before Your Lordship.
