Hitlercame to power in 1933. The Second World War broke out in 1939, So you are asked to describe Hitler's foreign policy just between six. years. You must first of an point out the motives of Hitler's foreign policy. It was with these motives in mind that Hitler took measures to fulfill them,
The first important motive was to free Germany frorn. the restrictions of the Versailles Treaty of 1919. The Germans- had always regarded the treaty terms as a national humiliation, and. Hitler had always wanted to

destroy them. The second motive was to include all Germans in other East European countries into Germany. If this motive was fulfilled, it would certainly be German aggression. The third motive was to expand German influence into Eastern Europe so as to form a large. German empire that would last for a thousand years, Such is Hitler's foreign policy in theory.
In discussing his foreign policy in practice, just trace. the measures that he took, Pick these measures out by tracing the years one after another. The main idea to remember is. that at first Hitler moved cautiously in foreign policy so. as to: arouse the least fear and attention among the great powers. Towards the latter. years of the period 1933-38, however, Hitler grew more and
more aggressive, So if you remember, Germany withdrew. from the disarmament conference and left the League of Nations in 1934, one year after his coming to power. In 1935, he declared Germany would no longer be bound by the Versailles treaty term that restricted the size of German armaments, Thereafter, German rearmament was undertaken. In 1936, to show her refusal to obey any international agreements that the Allies dictated, Germany announced she was no longer bound by the peace treaty of: Locarno (a peace treaty renouncing war and aggression in 1925). Germany therefore had not any excuse for the protection of her own people. Britain and France promised support for the Poles in case of any-German: aggression. The Germans really invaded Poland in September 1939. The Western powers thereby declared war on Germany. This led to the Second World War.
It is important, in answering this question, to clearly describe each of the main historical events of Nazi expansionism in the period. Some explanation of the background to the events and thein effects on one another. should be included, such as the "reasons for the adoption of
