The price of the vessel was $1100 and for $2,000 more I shall be able in three weeks to have her fit for duty and am well satisfied that I can at that small cost do the most needful part of the work required of a Cruiser under the Harbor and Coasts Ordinance.
9. Nevertheless, such a vessel is in no way adapted for another class of duties such as may be expected from the proposed Cruiser, whose arrival here will I trust be expedited by her Majesty's Government.
