Thus, it is decided that they should be offered Government Low coat housing estates or resettlement estates if they could not afford it. anyway, cash compensation has to be made whether the tenants accept the housing offer or not.

a great sum of money which the Government is able to pay througa the sale of land to intended deve- lopers in the renewal area.
But, on the other hand, togethe with the programme of urban renewal the development of resettlement es- tates and Low-cost housing estaten should be made to accommodate all the evicted tenants.
Although the process or uroan zenewal involves many difficult prc blems, yet the Government has to get started on it, partly because it will bring a happier life to the people at large and partly because it is a great task which is most difficult to be taken up by privat developers.
