I think it due to Mr Green to express my entire satisfaction with the manner in which, since my arrival, he has discharged the duties of Attorney General; and it is my knowledge that the profession and the public were also fully satisfied with the way in which, before Mr Adams' arrival, Mr Green for a period of about 5 months performed the functions of Chief Justice of this Colony.
