1st, That the above leave was granted to commence on the Seventy-second Day of June, 1839,

and end on the Twenty-first
on the ground of ill health,
and that the Medical certificate was produced of which a copy is annexed.
2d, That A. L. Inglis, Esquire,
has served the Crown for 19 years, one month and 19 Days.
3d, That in the course of that Service he has been absent on leave on several occasions, at the dates and for the terms specified below, viz:

I certify that after a most careful examination of the case of Mr. A. L. Inglis, I have come to the decided conclusion that he is now and might for some time past have been suffering from Bright's disease of the kidney, a disease in itself exceedingly dangerous. After due consideration I have also concluded that it is absolutely necessary for him to proceed without loss of time to Europe, and recommend him to go accordingly by the next Mail Steamer.
