From the kick off the Navy took control and the Police defence had a busy time. However, the Navy shooting was poor and Mellardy was not worried in goal. Dickin- son was playing well on wing but received little support from the in- side forwards. Eventually Ken- redy beat McHardy from close range. The Navy forced a corner which was fruitless and the teams crossed over with the Navy a goal

LEAGUE CRICKET,

One match in the Senior Division and three in the second was decided over the week-end. The Army and Navy match was postponed as the troops are in camp and the Indians were fortunate to draw "with the University at Sookunpoo.

UNIVERSITY v. I.R.C.

Last Season: I.R.O. won by 60 runs.

The match between the Univer sity and the Indians at Pokfulam resulted in a draw in favour of the

undergrads.

The visitors batted first but start- ed shakily, losing their first four wickets for only 32 runs. The latter batsmen improved the situation. H.K.C.C. scored a convincing vic- however, and the side eventually Areulli was top tory over the Recreio while K.C.C.

This fixture was to have been a League match but was changed as a **-friendly." The Fincher brothers again made.a brilliant first wicket stand and thanks mainly to them, Kowloon Cricket Club scored an easy victory over the C.R.C.. at Causeway Bay.

The Chinese batted first and Willie Hung, was the only man to make a showing, the rest of the team failing badly against the con sistent bowling. E. P. Fincher took 3 wickets for 1 run.

Kowloon replied with 162 runs, the Finchera scoring 30 (E.C.) and 53 (E.F.) before retiring.
