The returns of general merchan dise discharged for Hong Kong during the 24 hours ended at 9 a.ta. yesterday were again very good. Through freights, however, showed A big decrease. Thirteen arrivals and fourteen departures Were shown, of which five arrivals and seven departures were British. British imports were only fair, but through, freights were high.

A New British Arrival. Tae, a.s. Cazana (British) which
aired here from Calcuttu and "NALDERA" Singapore paid her first visit to
the part. The vessel is owned by the British India Steam Naviga-KASHMIR" tion Company, for whom Messrs. MUBSA". Mackinnon & Mackenzie are the "KALYAN" local agents. The vessel brought 972*KAJPUTANA" tons of general cargo for this port. and 6,800 tons for parte beyond. The vessel has a nett tonnage of 5,19. toss, and Osptain G. S. Mana is in command with a crew of 81, of which seven are Britishers. The ress also carried 68 packages and 97 bags of mail for the Navy,
