Inward cargoes as shown on the manifests of vessels arriving here during the 24 hours ended at 9 a.m. on Saturday had fallen con- siderably. Through freights, on the other hand, had increased.

The total amount of general cargo landed here was 5,538 tons, of which, | 3,118 tons were from six British vessels. The best return was 1,885. tons carried by the s. Ho Sang (British) from Calcutta and Sing

The total number of deck pas- sengers entering the Colony during the 24 hours ended at 9 &.. on Saturday was 1,235.

One case of pulmonary T. B. RAS conveyed home for treatment by the B.B. Denention on Saturday,

The 6s llo Sang arriving here on Saturday reparted the deaths of two deck passengers; one from beri. beri and the other from tuber- culosis.

The as. Haining (Douglas S.E. Ca.) arrived yesterday from Foo- chow, Amoy and Swatow, with 100 tons of general cargo; four Euro- pean passengers, 24 Chinese firat- class passengers, 13 Chinese secord- class passengers, and 250 deck pas-

SHIPPING MOVEMENTS.

The R. M.S. Empress of Asia ar rived at Kobe on February 15th, left Kobe on the 19th, and was due at Nagasaki yesterday.

The R.M.S. Empress of Russia "arrived at. Shanghai on February 18th, left Shanghai on the 19th, and was due at Nagasaki yesterday.

The B.I. asd Apcar Line s.s. Gambhira left Singapore for Hong Kong on the afternoon of the 18th inst., and is due to arrive here on the 20th at about 7 m.
