TAX HONGKONG DAILY PRESS FRIDAY, MAY 28TH, 1926
Yesterday's shipping statement (up to a.m.) showed an increase of 2,1 tons on the total cargo entered, compar ed with the figures for the previous twenty-four hours. The increase, how ever, was not in cargo for Hongkong. Freight for Hongkong registered a de crease of 3,761 tons; that for Ports be yond increased by 3,913 tons.
The number of vessels in the harbours at Dam yesterday was 35, of which
were Britiah. During the previous twenty-four hours ten vessels arrived, e-three British, one American, one German, one Japanese and four Chinese. The departures during the same period came to seven, being one British for Port Redan; oue Chinese for Sha" U Chung; one Chinese and one British for Kwang Chow Win: one British for Shanghai! one Chinese for Hauboi; and one Chiness for Amoy. Cirarances also numbered seven, and were one Japanese for Chefoo: ene British for Shanghai: one French for Haiphong: one American for San Fran cisco; one Japanese and one British for Singapore and one French for Kwang Chow Wan.
