As a result of the fact that the Nippon Yusen Kaisha have started a servios between Caloutts and Japan, calling at Rangoon and Singapore, the British India and Asiatic Navigation Companies at Calcutta hare feed a circular to their customers offerleg

The loyal tosste having been duly honoured, Surgeon Goueral Brunfoot proposed "The Lon don of Sohool Tropical Medicine," and recalled that its establishment in 1899 was duo to the in- itiative of Mr. Chamberlain, who was Secretary of State for the Colonies at the time, and whose withdrawal from satire public life they all de-. plored (Cheers) The school, which had made steady progress since that time, and throngh orer 1,300 students had passed, had been of
