An Ordinance to provide that no person shall without the consent of the Governor in Council reside within the southern portion of the island of Cheung Chau otherwise known as Dumb-bell Island.

1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Cheung Chau (Residence) Ordinance, 1919.
2.—(1) It shall not be lawful for any person whatsoever to reside without the consent of the Governor in Council within that portion of Cheung Chau or Dumb-bell Island which is shown in green edging on a plan dated the 28th day of August, 1919, signed by the Director of Public Works, countersigned by the Governor and deposited in the Land Office, and denoted on the ground by boundary stones fixed for that purpose.
(2) Any such consent may be given so as to include the following persons:
(a) the members of the family of the person to whom the consent is given;
(b) persons bona fide employed by such person in or about his residence; and
(c) bona fide visitors entertained gratuitously by such person.
(3) Any consent granted by the Governor in Council may be revoked by the Governor in Council at any time on six months' notice in writing.
No person to reside in a certain portion of Cheung Chau without the consent of the Governor in Council.
3. If it is made to appear to the Supreme Court that anything has been done by any person in violation or contravention of this Ordinance, it shall be lawful for such court to restrain such person by injunction from further continuing such violation or contravention.
