is to supply the nerves by a continual current, which is accomplished by means of the Gaivano- Electric Ring. The system being supplied with the Galvano-Electric fluid is so much invigorated, that it will be capable not only to resist the power of contagion but likewise to expel the elements of disease, thus forming what Hippocrates tormed the vis medicatriz natura" It is necessary that the rings, which are made of Zinc and Copper chymi cally prepared, should be accurately and Mathe matically constructed, otherwise no effect whatever would ensue from their use. After having consult- busied the first Chymists of the day, and baving tested the efficacy of the Galvano Electric Rings, Mr. Hyams pledges himself to the genuineness of all the rings sold at his establishment, which are stamped with his name. The caution is considered neces sary, as rings are manufactured at Birmingham and other places, regardless of the quality of the metals, or a just appreciation of scientific princip- es; such being sold at Jewellers, Chemists, Opti clans, and Ironmongers, at d. each, the same as in the streets at 1d.
