Blenheim Reach, Shoaling of Water in. "
REFERRING to Admiralty Chart No. 1742-Canton River Sheet IV-Notice is hereby given that the soundings shown thereon to the Eastward of Collinson Reach Steel Pile Barrier are, in places, much in error.
Pending a full survey of this water, the following soundings, with bearings and distances from Collinson Reach Barrier Occulting Light, are given for the information of mariners :-

COLONIAL SECRETARY'S DEPARTMENT.
No. S. 128.-It is hereby notified that the Government intends to offer for sale by public auction, on or about the 1st November next, the whole of the area of Crown land at the corner of Pedder Street and Queen's Road Central, formerly occupied by the Post Office, Supreme Court and other Government Buildings, as delineated upon a plan which may be seen in the Public Works Office. The entire area available for sale amounts to about 36,500 square feet. The Government is prepared to consider proposals from intending purchasers for subdividing the entire area into lots of moderate size.
Subject to certain reservations as to the manner in which any building to be erected on the area may be occupied, the Government is prepared to sanction the erection of buildings not exceeding a height of 125 feet.
