.8 ounces lean beef with all fat removed to produce I pint. Cut the beef into very small pieces and put into a vessel with cold water, adding a little salt. Let it warm gradually and simmer for two hours. It should not be allowed to boil. Pass the beef tea through a strainer to remove the beef.
