To obtain the best water, an inward-bound vessel should pass the First Crossing Buoy at a distance of 2 cables and steer to pass the Second Crossing Buoy at a distance of I cable. On this course the least depth is at present 12 feet at low water of spring tides.

ENTRANCE TO PORT ADELAIDE.-No. 1 LEAD.
MASTERS of vessels, pilots, and others are hereby informed that on and after the 1st July, 1910, the double vertical lights of No. 1 lead will be discontinued, and single white and single red lights substituted therefor.
These lights or beacons in line lead through the centre of the 400-ft. cutting, the line of bearing being being N. 55° E. and S. 55° W.
This affects Admiralty charts 2389A and 2389B, 1750, and 1752.

No. S. 90.-Sealed tenders will be received at the Colonial Secretary's Office until noon of Monday the 6th day of June, 1910, for the renting of Quarry A/6, Ngau Tau Kok, from 1st July, 1910, to 31st December, 1912.
Tenders must be in a form which will be supplied by the Director of Public Works upon deposit of a sum of $50 which sum shall be refunded on receipt of a bonâ fide tender.
The Government does not bind itself to accept the highest or any tender.
