North-West Coast,

NOTICE is hereby given that a Third Order Dioptric White Light, showing a triple flash every 15 seconds, is in course of erection on Cape Leveque, Lat. 16deg. 23min. South, Long. 122deg. 55min. East.

The light will be displayed from an iron tower painted white, 43 feet in height from base to vane; range of visibility, 19 miles.

Flash one-third of a second, eclipse four and two-thirds seconds,

is in course of erection on Point Cloates, Lat. 22deg. 42min. South, Long. 113deg. 41min. East.

The light will be displayed from a masonry tower of a natural grey colour, 73 feet in height from base to vane; range of visibility, 21 miles.

MEKARI-SETO TIDAL OBSERVATION LIGHTBUOY TO BE MOORED.

NOTICE is hereby given that the following Lightbnoy will shortly be moored near Ohama- saki at the north end of Inno-shima, Mekari-seto, Inland Sea, for tidal observations :--

Name:Mekari-seto tidal observation lightbuoy.

Construction and painting :-Iron cylindrical, surmounted by a lattice-work sup- porting the lantern, the one half side painted white and the other half side red.

Height:-- About 10 feet above the water.

Character of light :-Aceton gas flashing light, the half white and the other half

red.

This buoy being turned round and round by the current, the red and white sides do not always remain in the definite positions.

Further notice will be given when the lightbuoy has been moored.
