Labour Department Programme of Legislation
We were grateful to receive your report on the above programme of legislation and agree that such reports, received on a regular basis, would be very useful. Even so, it would presumably be easier from all points of view for you to send us the six-weekly reviews we received occasionally before.

The reviews provide an excellent and workmanlike summary of legislation proposed or in hand and provide a better "all-round" picture of the programme than all but the lengthiest and most exhaustive of periodic reports. We do not mind if you prefer to send us the reports every two months or so, but we would prefer a summary list of all proposed legislation, rules, etc., to be added to each one.
